Arroz con Leche’

Growing up, my mom didn’t cook very much to be honest. But, there were a few dishes that she made so well, this being one of them. The taste immediately takes me back to winters in the desert.

Here is my simple recipe, I hope you love it!

Ingredients

2.5c water

1c white rice

2 cinnamon sticks

1/4tsp salt

4c milk

1c sugar

Directions

  1. I use spring water, washed rice, raw milk, redmonds salt and organic cane sugar

  2. combine the water, rice, cinnamon sticks, and salt in a large pot or dutch oven over medium-high heat

  3. bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 15 minutes

  4. stir in the milk and sugar. bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring often

Serve right away. Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add milk as needed.

Hope you love this recipe!
