Hey guys! So it's Monday, and it feels like the weekend flew by! Yesterday, we celebrated my guy's birthday- the big 38! Every year on his birthday the kids and I like to do something a little fun. Back home we would have friends and family over for good food, drinks, and laughs. We always do a dessert table (he LOVES sweets!) and the kids love setting it all up. So, we headed over to the $ store and found everything we needed, and decided to design a dessert table around some of his favorite things.

I knew the one thing the $ store would definitely have, would be primary colors. I figured we could make it little more fun and modern by adding in black. So for less than $10 we had our table decor! Here's what we bought.

The desserts were so delicious! I picked up a few from a bakery downtown- Goodness Gracious- they bake up the best gluten-free and non-GMO treats!! We chose a red velvet and a chocolate latte' cupcake, a pretty lil' Napolean and these tiny little almond pies! The blueberry pretzels and organic popcorn finish off this dessert table, full of all his favorite things!

We wrapped a cardboard box with some fun paper and used it as a base for the pie stand. The white candle holders are perfect for holding plates or trays. I actually picked up 6! I have so many pretty, random plates, that can be mixed and matched easily with these- score!

Instead of cake, we opted for apple pie. Picked up this one from our favorite Farmers Market grocery store. They are made locally, and couldn't be more delicious! Dave is all about apples and caramel, so I baked it up, topped it with pralines and cream icecream and drizzled it with this delicious natural caramel. So good!

I made a little printable set that could be used for any party really, but made a special banner for the dads in our lives! My guy is such a great dad, and we just love celebrating him on his special day!
