Are you throwing a grad party this year? Graduating from high school or college is a huge accomplishment, and it deserves to be celebrated!  As a former party planner, I have created several graduation party dessert tables.  They were always some of my favorites, because of the personal touches and themed desserts.  Pulling together a grad party can be easier than you think, and you can do it on a budget!

Did you know you can make an easy backdrop using PVC pipes?  For a couple of bucks, you can create a stand and use sheets, fabric or curtains for the backdrop. Check out this tutorial that can be modified for your needs.

I love this cupcake stand!  I made it using 3 cans, wrapped in fabric, 3 round cake circles with cord and tassel trim, and topped it with a cardboard hat -wrapped in felt with a button and tassel glued on top.  Check out this post for help making your own. .

Another $ Store find- candle holders and plates.  I gave them a quick coat of spray paint in this grad';s school colors, and topped them with little white donuts.

Another way to personalize your graduation dessert table is with this simple photo idea.  I simply purchased clear cylinder vases from the $ Tree, printed out a graduation photo on card-stock, and inserted them in the vase. I covered the top with paper shred and used a couple decorative piks for fun!  The blue curly ones are actually for a Christmas Tree- think outside the box!

We fancied up the cupcakes with these cute printable cupcake toppers, and matching wrappers.  You can fill in the table using mini water bottles, "diploma" cookies, and a framed quote!
