Essential Oils For Energy
/Here in the Pacific NW, where I live, it get's pretty gloomy. Long days filled with rain and grey skies can make anyone a little sleepy. It's not my favorite weather, I have to admit. But today I am sharing a list of my favorite oils I use for a quick pick me up.
As you may know, my absolute favorite brand of essential oils, comes from Neal's Yard. They are so serious about their process, it's hard to find another brand that compares. Whatever oils you do choose, make sure they are pure organic.
Lemon
Lemon is naturally cleansing and uplifting. Diffuse it in the morning to help wake up refreshed, or breath in for an instant boost. This oil blends well with peppermint, rosemary and juniper.
Citronella
Citronella is steam distilled from the grass. It's uplifting, citrusy and zesty, which makes it a great natural boost. I often diffuse this with peppermint. It also blends well with orange and lime.
Peppermint
Peppermint is steam distilled from the leaves. It's so energizing, cooling and refreshing, and easily one of my faves. Try adding 1-2 drops on your shower floor in a.m. before starting your shower. Blends well with lime, lemon and lavender.
Try making a blend today using these three energizing oils. My favorite mix is 10 drops of lemon, 5 drops of peppermint and 2 drops of citronella in a 10ml. roll on bottle. Be sure to grab my Essential Oil Guide, for a quick reference!
