So, I have a hair routine.  You know- wash and curl one day,  waves for the next day, maybe a bun on the third day.  That's usually how it works out for me, but on that third day, I definitely need some product.  Dry shampoo is the way to go, especially if you have red hues like me and can't be using shampoo every day.   I'm sure you have some dry shampoo in your cabinet, but do you know what's in that product?

For me, hair products were one of the last toxins I ditched.  I've just always had my favorites, and I felt like I had to start with one thing at a time.  I was thrilled to see all the organic and holistic businesses here in Oregon, including my hair salon.  Restoration Beauty.   I had my hair colored with an organic color system, that was free from ammonia, parabens, propylene glycol and nonoynol.  I loved the color, it was rich and vibrant, and there wasn't any smell or burning feeling.  It did come with a higher price tag at $200 for color and a trim, but it was worth it!  So now I'm hooked on toxic-free hair care!  I recently found this post from A Beautiful Mess, on how to make your own non-toxic dry shampoo.  I love this because if I can DIY a product, that means money saved can go towards a color treatment.  Ya' feel me!
